Youth Congress

We envision gathering dozens of youth from Alaska and around the world together to visualize a future without nuclear weapons and to learn from international media professionals communication techniques to advance this important goal. Sadly, in 2020, just as we were excitedly preparing for our first congress, the global Covid-19 pandemic arrived. After much serious consideration, on April 18th, 2020 Chapter 100 of Veterans For Peace passed a resolution to reschedule Alaska’s Youth Congress for the Global Elimination of Nuclear Weapons. At this time we do not yet have a date for a youth congress, but if you are motivated to help make this a reality, please reach out by email and let us know how you’d like to assist.
